The book about the Telenor scandal
A book that starts conversations. Norwegian-language edition, delivered within Norway.
Order by 15 December for delivery before Christmas
In 2013 Telenor, with the Norwegian state as its largest owner, obtained a mobile licence in Myanmar after close political support from Norway. After the military coup in 2021, customer data was shared with the junta, and the business was sold to a buyer with ties to the military.
Nicolai Prydz was an adviser to Myanmar’s government in exile and worked to stop the sale. In Forrådt av Norge («Betrayed by Norway», in Norwegian) he documents the course of events with more than 400 source references, and tells the story of his friend Ko Jimmy, who was executed in 2022.
